Ege University Textile Engineering Department has started training as Izmir Textile Technical High School in 1966 and is the most well-established, contemporary and comprehensive textile education institution in the country.  Since its foundation, qualified engineers who are equipped with modern and high quality education, who are open to development, who are creative, who know their responsibilities and have strong communication skills have been educating to Turkish Textile Industry.

Ege University Textile Engineering Department Undergraduate Training Program has been accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK). And "European Label" - EURopean ACcredited Engineer (EUR-ACE) Label has been issued to be valid throughout accreditation.

Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK) is recognized by the Higher Education Council as a national quality assurance body for the accreditation of engineering programs.

Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK) is a full member of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE).

Textile Engineering Department is a member of AUTEX (Associaton of Universities for Textiles).
